Burnham-On-Sea artists show off their work
at town exhibition

Hundreds
of people have been flocking to Burnham-On-Sea Community Hall
this week to see an exhibition of work from local artists.
The
week-long show runs from August 22nd-27th and is the first event
organised
by the Lighthouse Arts Group, a new organisation for artists in
Burnham, Berrow Brean.
The
exhibition includes work from 11 exhibitors, who have been showing
off paintings, sculptures, textiles, cards and crafts.
Sue
Hammond-Lovatt of the Lighthouse Arts Group, pictured, said: "This
exhibition has something for everyone. We hope it will appeal
to Burnham residents and holidaymakers alike."
"We
have already been overwhelmed with the number of visitors on the
first day."
The
Lighthouse Arts Group was formed this year after several local
artists met at the 2004 Somerset Arts Week and realised there
was a need for a local group.
