to search for a missing mother and son. The crews were
called to Berrow at 12.30am to conduct a search of the
dunes following a sighting of two people matching their

the early hours of Saturday May 16th to rescue a motorist

weekend. The 22 year-old driver from Bristol escaped unhurt

tide times before driving onto beaches in the Burnham-On-Sea
area after the driver of this car got caught out on Saturday
evening (July 20th). A Vauxhall Corsa parked on Brean

BARB,
the group that runs the hovercraft, was formed in 1992 when
it began fundraising for its first rescue craft and own
boathouse. In June 1994 Anneka Rice and the BBC TV show
Challenge Anneka came to the rescue, building us
a boat house on Burnham seafront in just 72 hours!
