of people turned up in colourful costumes for a super hero
themed fundraising event to help a life-saving Burnham-On-Sea
charity on Saturday evening (March 20th). BARB's 'Super
Hero Night' was held at Brean's Beachcomber Inn in aid of
the hovercraft rescue group's £60,000 campaign to
buy a new replacement craft.

been given a financial boost this week with the donation
of more than £3,000. Residents in Trinity Close handed
over a cheque to BARB for £3,127.71 to help fund the

of kind-hearted Burnham-On-Sea Beavers and Cubs have dug
into their pockets and money boxes to save up bagfuls of
pennies for the charity that runs the town's two rescue

been helping carers and ambulance crews to reach patients

of fundraisers braved the icy waters of the Bristol Channel
to take part in a bracing sea dip at Brean today (Boxing
Day) to raise hundreds of pounds for a Burnham-On-Sea charity.

into the Bristol Channel during the sponsored event, which
was held to raise funds towards the £60,000 cost of

Christmas comes to Burnham hovercraft station!

Claus will visit Burnham-On-Sea over two weekends in the
run-up to Christmas - and families are being encouraged
to come along and meet him. Part of Burnham's rescue hovercraft
station on The Esplanade will be transformed into a festive
grotto for Father Christmas, who will be handing out gifts

receive a funding boost from a Brean country and western
club this week. The Tavern Country Music Club, based at
Brean Leisure Park, handed over £750 to BARB, as pictured,

with a difference on Saturday (October 31st). Sedgemoor
District Council's Assistant Harbour Officer, Ricky Holmes,
and Nick Prout were flown out into Bridgwater Bay to check
the condition of the buoys around Stert Island ahead of
the winter season.

motorcyclists dressed in Halloween costumes roared through
Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday morning (October 31st) at the

given a financial boost this week with the donation of hundreds
of pounds following a fundraising bike ride. Over fifty
motorbikes took part in the 160-mile Pasty Run from Puriton,

further £4,400 has been handed over to Burnham-On-Sea's
hovercraft charity by generous holidaymakers at a Brean
holiday park. Members
of Diamond Farm's Fundraising Committee last month presented
over £5,800 to BARB, and a second cheque for £4,400
from the park's pub fundraising group was handed over on
Saturday night (October 10th), making a huge total of £10,206
for the year.

30 bikers took part in a fundraising ride for a Burnham-based
charity at the weekend - the second in the last fortnight.
A convoy of bikers from the Somerset Motorcycle Group roared
off from the Bristol Bridge Inn in Highbridge for the 50-mile

of holidaymakers at Diamond Farm have taken part in a series

to auctions, raffles and car boot sales to raise a huge

two-mile sponsored pull of Burnhams rescue hovercraft
through the streets of Brean raised hundreds of pounds for
BARB, the charity behind the life-saving rescue service,
on Sunday (September 27th). The

along Coast Road by a hardy group of country music fans,

during a joint training exercise. David Heathcoat-Amory

of a wedding ceremony on Saturday (September 12th) when
a long-serving crewmember tied the knot. Chris Gammon has
been part of BARB's volunteer crew for over five years and
was keen for fellow crewmembers to join his special day
when he married his partner Emmalene at St Andrew's Church
