hovercraft crewmen gain RYA qualifications
Several
crew members from BARB, the Burnham-On-Sea charity that operates
an inshore rescue boat and two hovercrafts, have been handed certificates
after gaining qualifications from the Royal Yachting Association
(RYA).
BARB
crew members Paul Giles, Steve Perks and Roger Flower
were presented with their RYA certificates after completing an
extensive course in
Weston that covered boat handling, piloting, navigation and sea
safety.
The
RYA's training programmes provide the de-facto qualifications
for skippers and water professionals worldwide.
