members enjoy visit to Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft station
Over
20 members of a Womens Institute from near Langport visited Burnham-On-Sea
this week to meet the crew of the town's rescue hovercrafts.
The
group from Aller were given a tour of the seafront station before
and introduced to crewmembers before being given an illustrated
presentation about the work of BARB, the charity that runs Burnham's
two rescue hovercrafts.
The
WI group said they thoroughly enjoyed the evening and have made
a donation to BARB to help with its costs of maintaining its life-saving
crafts.
