Fun-loving
fundraisers at Brean raise almost £3,000 for hovercraft

A
summer of fundraising activities at a Brean caravan park raised
almost £3,000 for Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercraft group.
Dozens
of holidaymakers at Diamond Farm took part in a series of events
that ranged from fancy dress competitions and auctions to raffles
and car boot sales, to raise funds for BARB, the charity that
runs the area's two life-saving hovercrafts.
Diamond
Farm's Fundraising Committee handed over a bumper cheque for £2,938.37
to BARB's events organiser, Roger Flower.
Diamond
Farm organiser Pam Clark said: "The hovercraft is such an
essential service in this area that we wanted to help."
"We've
had great support for all our events this year, which have been
held over the whole six month summer season, and thank everyone
who helped in any way."
Mr
Flower praised the efforts of the group, adding: "We are
incredibly grateful for your efforts."
