Rose Gibbins and her son Mark (pictured) were given a full tour of the hovercraft station on Saturday April 23 and shown around the hovercraft itself by crew members. The pair decided to give a significant sum to BARB, the group that runs the Burnham hovercraft, following the death of Rose's husband, Keith, from cancer. She said Keith had been very keen to support the hovercraft in an effort to avoid further tragedies like the tragic death of Lelaina Hall occurring. Mark
added: "He was in the Navy for many years on an aircraft carrier
and so had a real love for the sea. When
he heard about Lelaina's death it stuck in his mind and he said he wanted
to help in some way. That's why we've fulfilled his wish and made a
