Easter
bonnet parade raises funds for Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft group

Hundreds
of pounds was raised for Burnham-On-Sea's hovercraft when holidaymakers
at a Brean caravan site held an Easter bonnet parade.
The
popular event was well supported by a large number of families
staying at Diamond Farm who made scores of bonnets of all shapes,
sizes and colours.
Organised
by the Diamond Farm Charity Committee, organiser Roy Newell said
the event had been "a big success."
"We
all had a lot of fun while raising money for this very worthwhile
cause. It was a great afternoon."
Held
on Easter day, Sunday April 16th, prizes were presented to those
who had made the best bonnets.
First
place in the men's section was won by Bryn Hockey while first
lady was Glennis Alloway.
In
the children's entries, Deamon Grundy won the boy's section and
Megan Brodie's was judged to have entered the best girl's bonnet.
