Flute
players bring music to the ears of Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft group

A
group of Burnham-on-Sea flute players brought music to the ears
of the town's rescue hovercraft group on Saturday March 25th when
they performed a fundraising concert.
Burnham
Flautists Group was only formed six weeks ago, but its members
put on a high-quality programme in St Andrew's Church.
The
audience was treated to a varied mixture of music played by Sue
Efford, Jean Fice, Amy Jandrell and Georgia Fraser, with Derrick
Jones on piano.
Organiser
and Burnham Flautists leader Mary Hancock said: "It was a
superb morning, much enjoyed by both the audience and our musicians.
It was also good to raise over £45 for such a worthwhile
cause."
During
the performance, BARB crew members Mel Gosling and Dave Bailey
gave an overview of the work of the hovercraft, explaining the
importance of raising money to keep the craft in operation.
Burnham-On-Sea
Flautists group is welcoming new members. Those who are interested
can contact the group on 01278 783806.
