Burnham
hovercraft charity benefits from musical fundraisers
A
group of Burnham-On-Sea musicians raised more than £100
for BARB, the charity that runs the town's rescue hovercraft,
by performing a concert in the town on Saturday morning (October
21st).
Three
young members of Wessex Woodwind Band played a line-up of classical
and modern music during the event at Burnham Sailing Club.
Talented
young musicians Amy Jandrell and Georgia Fraser played the flute,
while Ellen Tiso was on the clarinet. They were directed by organiser
Mary Hancock and accompanied by Mary Lawrence - all of whom are
pictured here.
A
collection at the end raised the sum of £100, which was
accepted by BARB crew members Dave Bailey and Roger Flower. "It
was a superb event, which was greatly enjoyed by everyone who
attended," said Roger. "We are very grateful to Mary
Hancock and her team."
