make visit to Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft station
A
group of 20 guides from Clevedon were given a VIP visit to Burnham-On-Sea's
hovercraft station this week.
The
guides were given beach safety advice from crew members and also
got a chance to see both The Light Of Elizabeth and Spirit of
Lelaina hovercrafts up-close at the seafront station.
The
group were also given a presentation which explained some of the
history behind BARB, the Burnham-On-Sea charity that operates
the hovercrafts, and recounted some of the recent rescues. The
group also went on to visit Burnham lifeboat station.
