He was voted by crew members as the person who contributed most significantly to the welfare of BARB during the past year - and was presented with the trophy by the Right Hon David Heathcoat-Amory, the MP for Wells, during his recent visit to the town for the group's AGM. A
BARB spokesman said: "Alan was the clear choice, having dedicated
so much time and effort towards this organisation and the maintenance
of the hovercraft during an incredibly busy and challenging year. He's
