Burnham-On-Sea
Halloween
bike ride is a roaring success!
Fun-loving
members of a Somerset motorcycle club raised money for the Burnham-On-Sea
charity that operates the town's rescue hovercrafts during a Halloween-themed
bike ride at the weekend.
Members
of Mid-Somerset and South Bristol Motorbike Club roared off on
their machines dressed in seasonal costumes on Saturday (November
1st) for a ride around Somerset, stopping off at various venues
to collect money for BARB, the Burnham Area Rescue Boat.
"We
started off on Burnham seafront and then headed out through West
Huntspill and beyond. Everyone saw some interesting parts of the
county whilst raising money," said the event's organiser,
Norman Templeman.
A
total of £100 was handed over to BARB, the 16-year-old charity
that runs the life-saving Spirit Of Lelaina and Light Of Elizabeth
hovercrafts.
