MP visits town's rescue hovercraft station
Burnham-On-Sea's
MP visited the town's rescue hovercraft station on Saturday (September
15th) to hear about a busy summer of rescues performed by the
charity that runs the service.
David
Heathcoat-Amory visited BARB's seafront HQ to meet crewmembers
and see the group's two life-saving hovercrafts up close.
He
met Senior Pilot Pete Charles and BARB Secretary Roger Flower,
who are pictured here with Cllr Arthur Thorogood, alongside the
Spirit Of Lelaina hovercraft.
"I
am delighted to see BARB in such great shape, and congratulate
them on a successful fifteenth season within Bridgwater Bay,"
said Mr Heathcoat-Amory.
