Nursery
pupils enjoy visit by Burnham hovercraft and Coastguards
Excited
youngsters at a Burnham-On-Sea nursery enjoyed a visit from the
town's rescue hovercraft and Coastguards this week.
BARB,
the charity that operates Burnham's two life-saving rescue hovercrafts,
was invited to the Playaway Day Nursery in Maddocks Slade for
the special educational visit, accompanied by Burnham Coastguards.
The
25 children, all aged between one and four, got a chance to see
The Light Of Elizabeth hovercraft and Coastguard rescue truck
up close.
"The
children really enjoyed the visit," said BARB crewman Andy
Croker.
"They
learned a little about the dangers of the beach and had a wonderfully
noisy time, trying out the sirens and loud inhalers!"
