Third
vehicle in a week rescued from mud on Burnham-On-Sea beach

These
were the scenes on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Wednesday (February
18th) when a third vehicle became stuck in mud this week and had
to be rescued.
A
quad bike became trapped in mud near the paddling pool on the
town's beach at 10.30am while its rider was carrying out survey
work.
It
comes just days after a fishing boat and car became stuck on Burnham
beach last Sunday,
prompting a rescue by BARB, the charity that runs Burnham-On-Sea's
life-saving hovercrafts.
BARB
was also called to help the quad bikers pictured here on Wednesday,
but a private Land Rover managed to pull the stranded machine
free, much to the relief of the grateful survey team.
The
latest incident comes almost a year after a very similar quad
bike operated by a surveying team became stuck on Burnham beach,
as reported here.
