The group has held a number of fundraising events in recent months, including a skittles evening, collections during the carnival and, most recently, a rescue-themed evening when representatives from BARB, the RNLI and Coastguard gave a talk on the work they undertake. Round Table chairman Nick Bashford and members Tim Gibbs and Richard Marsh handed over the cheque to BARB’s Pete Charles and other crewmembers at the hovercraft station this week. Nick Bashford said: “The hovercraft is such a worthy cause and we are keen to help whenever we can.” Mark Newman,

the Round Table for this donation which will help towards the ongoing

the Burnham-On-Sea rescue hovercraft.
