Sea Cadets visit
Burnham's hovercraft station

Burnham Sea Cadets at the hovercraft stationBurnham Sea Cadets were given a VIP tour of the town's hovercraft station this week when they visited the service as part of their ongoing training.

More than a dozen youngsters from the group were shown around the hovercraft and given a demonstration of how the life-saving equipment is used before they met crew members.

Dave Gordon, the group's commanding officer, said: "It's important for the cadets to visit Burnham's rescue services and get an understanding of how they operate.

"Some of them are already considering getting involved with the hovercraft in a few years time when they’re older."
