hovercraft crew meet shoppers at garden centre
Visitors
to Sanders Garden World at Brent Knoll were able to meet crewmembers
of Burnham's Light Of Elizabeth rescue hovercraft at the weekend.
The
life-saving hovercraft, which is named after the sister of Lelaina
Hall who died after getting stuck on the mudflats at Berrow in
2002, was invited to the Brent Knoll garden centre on Saturday
August 23rd to do fundraising and give out beach safety advice.
A
BARB spokesman said: "Several of our volunteer crew were
on hand to meet customers and tell them about the work we do.
Children were also able to climb onboard the craft and learn about
beach safety."
