Burnham-On-Sea
boat crew help wildlife rescuers retrieve swan

Wildlife
rescuers called on the help of a Burnham-based rescue boat crew
to retrieve an injured swan this week.
Secret
World staff requested the assistance of the BARB rescue boat at
Burtle, where the animal had been spotted in a distressed state
on the Huntspill River.
Using
a net from the boat, Secret World's Graeme Thompson captured the
bird, pictured here, on Sunday evening (June 14th) before it was
taken back to the East Huntspill charity for treatment.
"It
appeared that the swan's right leg was broken and that it was
in a poor condition," said Mr Thompson. "Once again,
the use of BARB's rescue boat was essential to get out to the
swan."
