Display
of Christmas lights boosts hovercraft group's funds

More
than £1,900 has been donated to BARB, the charity that runs
Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercraft, by residents of Trinity Rise
following a successful month of fundraising over Christmas.
Crowds
of visitors flocked to the road's impressive display of Christmas
lights - which were featured on national breakfast television
during December - and a collection was made for BARB and the Children's
Hospice South West.
A
total of £3,908 was split between the two groups. Trinity
Rise spokeswoman Christine Woodberry said: "We would like
to pay a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Christmas
lights display this year."
BARB's
Mark Newman thanked the group, adding: "We are very grateful
to the Trinity Rise residents. They had a lot of fun with their
display, and gave all those who visited it over Christmas a lot
of pleasure."
