new-look Burnham Area Youth Centre is set to be officially opened
this weekend following a major revamp. The
BAY Centre in Casis Close has been brought up to date and fully
renovated during the last two years following a big fundraising

local worthy causes have this week received large handouts of
cash from Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club. The presentation of £2,100
each to Burnham-On-Sea's BAY Centre and Highbridge's National

games and stalls were among the many attractions that attracted
large crowds to Burnham-On-Sea's annual hospital fete on Monday
(August 28th). Hundreds of holidaymakers and residents crowded

SCORES
of Burnham-On-Sea people who suffer from various disabilities
received awards during Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Club's annual
presentation night on Thursday (July 27th). The event, which included
a barbecue, was held at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close.

Awards for brave five
BRAVE Burnham-On-Sea youngsters who have overcome difficulties
have been honoured at the town's 2006 Youth of Courage Awards.
The
Rotary Club event is held every two years to celebrate the achievements
of local youngsters who have shown tremendous courage.

BAY Centre receives funds
MEMBERS
of Burnham-On-Sea Round Table and the town's 41 Club raised money
in aid of a very special event at Burnham's BAY Centre. The Burnham
Area Youth (BAY) Centre hosted a dinner on Christmas Day for local
people who might otherwise be on their own this Christmas.

GROUP
of community-minded youngsters from Burnham-On-Sea had an unusual
start to their half-term holiday by picking up rubbish around
the town. The Youth Town Council members tidied up the streets
around King Alfred School and the BAY Club after noticing lots

Centre boss receives civic awards
FOUR
leading figures from Burnham and Highbridge received civic awards
for their service to the community on Sunday June 26th.
The awards were presented at the Annual Civic Service in St Andrew's
Church, attended by Burnham's MP and more than 200 local dignatiries

£2,500
boost for youth centre
BURNHAM Area Youth (BAY) Centre has been handed a cheque
for £2,500 following a successful charity golf day and race
night at Brean Leisure Park. The events were organised jointly
by Burnham-On-Sea Round Table, Lions and Rotary Clubs and is the
first time the clubs have come together to raise funds. More...

gather for race night
BURNHAM Lions, the Round Table and Rotary Club
are making final preparations for a Charity Race Night which will
be held at Brean Leisure Centre this Friday, April 22nd. The event
starts at 8.00pm and all are welcome to attend, with proceeds
going to the Burnham Area Youth (BAY) Centre's building fund.
