Mondays


Somerset Medical Tuition Service 9-00-12noon Contact Pat at the Centre Gemini Twins Club 10.00-12noon Contact Sam (01278) 765950This club has worked hard to get funding to buy a wide range of equipment for the children. Parents and their pre-school twins enjoy the friendly environment during sessions and the trips out during holidays.

Go for it Club 12.30-3.00pm Contact Di Monaghan on 07876131123 For active adults! Members dance, cook, make music, do crafts and go on trips - all as an excuse to have fun!

Monday Carousel 3.30-5.30pm Run by Julie, the BAY Centre Development Worker and, and others, this group aims to provide an opportunity for referred young people to chill out and chat over tea and various sport and craft activities.

Titans Boxing Club 6.00-7.30pm Contact Peter (01278) 788363This group has become very popular with young people of both sexes - and there is no shortage of adults to help train the club members. The Titans have been successful in many of the competitive tournaments they enter.

BAY Dynamos Temporarily suspended A five a side team run by young people for young people. It competes in an informal five a side league with Taunton and Bridgwater clubs.

Adventure Club 7.30-9.00pm Contact Sue (01278) 422796A County Youth Service led club for teenagers hoping to do Duke of Edinburgh Award type activities.

Wednesdays

U3A Table Tennis 1.30-3.30pm Contact Joan (01278) 787483This opportunity for the over 50's to keep fit

Contemporary Dance (for 8+) 5.30-7.30 Contact Emma (01934) 623653. Children of 8 or nine years (and those of 6+ if a parent stays) can enjoy an opportunity to learn basic steps and create new dances - and opportunities to perform. Children of 8-9 dance between 5.30-6.30pm. From 6.30pm -7.30pm the same opportunity is given to young people of 9 years and older.

Thursdays

Gateway 7.30-9.30pm Contact Shirley (01278) 795096A social club for adults with learning difficulties, the helpers plan a wide variety of activities, events and trips.

Fridays

Regular technology clinics in the new training room, from 11.00 am until 1.00 pm. Unravel some of the mysteries of computer operation, in a practical environment. Contact Mike Lang on 07889 815860 before attending as there are some weeks where a prior booking is using the training room

Information Point 12.30-4.30 pm Contact Tony (01278) 785177. Discuss issues around mental well being - for all ages!

U3A Table Tennis Club 1.30pm-3.30pm Contact Shirley (01278) 795096This opportunity for the over 50's to keep fit is taken up by an increasing number of people.

Saturdays

Saturday Club (for 8+) 10.00-12.00pm Contact Julie (07852) 834265 This club incorporates a Warhammer club, both on boards and on computers, and indoor and outdoor team games - as well as a tuck shop with a difference!

We have many other aspirations - particularly to provide many more clubs - but we need volunteers, or you may wish to help to form a new one. Please come to the BAY centre on Mondays between 12.00 and 5.00 pm and talk with Julie or Linda. Alternatively you could e-mail us at info@baycentre.org.uk
