Burnham
trio's pedal power raises £10,000 for charity
Three
Burnham-On-Sea cyclists who hope to have raised more than £10,000
for charity by cycling to France have returned to the town this
week.
Bobby
Hanscombe, Judy Salisbury and Pam Whitehead, pictured, rode more
than 280 miles over four days.
They
began in Greenwich and then pedalled their way to the French capital
via Dover during the sponsored Poppy Appeal ride.
The
trio were back in Burnham this week and performed a special lap
of honour around the parade ground during Sunday's event to mark
the 60th anniversaries of VE/VJ-Day and the 65th anniversary of
the Battle Of Britain.
Judy
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was a superb experience - great
fun. Once you ride through the initial pain, you forget about
it after a while!"
