Christmas lights switched on by Mayor
The town's 33 street lights were switched on by Mayor Louise Parkin in a ceremony outside the Somerset & Dorset Pub in the High Street.
Our photo shows Santa and Burnham's Mayor with Sammy Bevan (6), Oliviann Palmer (5), Paul Gass of the Chamber Of Commerce, and Andrew Nicolaides, Chairman of the Burnham Chamber of Commerce.
The lights - which cost almost £3,000 each year - were kindly put up along the street by Mike Buncombe's Electricals.
As in previous years, the Burnham-On-Sea town band were on hand near Hurleys newsagents to play a line-up of lively Christmas tunes.
And Santa Claus also dropped in - handing out sweets to children and onlookers.
