Coastguards help disorientated
lady to safety

An
elderly lady who became disorientated in the dark on Burnham-On-Sea's
beach was helped to safety by Coastguards on Thursday night (April
2nd).
A team of Coastguards was called to the paddling pool area on
the town's beach at 8.45pm, as pictured here, after the lady reported
she had got into difficulty between several mud banks.
The
team of Coastguards quickly found the lady and took her to a waiting
ambulance at the top of the jetty as a precaution.
Burnham
Coastguard Station Officer Steve Bird said: "She had become
disorientated in the dark while walking along the beach and was
a bit shaken up."
"She
was grateful for our help and received the attention of the paramedics
as a precaution."

Coastguards
searched the beach for the woman near the paddling pool
