Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards launch search for missing person

Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards launched a search for a missing person on Brean Beach on Saturday morning (November 17th).

They were alerted at 11.30am after a 34-year-old man suffering from depression was reported missing by a friend.

Burnham Coastguard Station Officer Steve Bird said: "A team of Coastguards conducted a search of the beach and dunes towards Burnham and found the man safe and well a short time later."

Police had also been called to the scene to assist with the search.
