She was beaten into second place by Liberal Democrat candidate Rosemarie Parsons in the Highbridge and Burnham-On-Sea South ward following the vote on Thursday May 5th. Labour parliamentary candidate Dan Whittle was not far behind either, as shown in the results at the bottom of this page. In the Burnham-On-Sea North ward, the result was far more clear-cut with Tory candidate Michael James Facey easily winning his seat on the County Council by the majority of 386 votes.
