Disabled Access Survey 2004 gives Burnham businesses the thumbs up!
Three premises were
found to have gone out of their way to be helpful and had excellent
facilities and the Youth Town Council would like to recommend these
businesses to anyone with disabilities or who have children in push
chairs to care for, they are Savers, Boots The Chemists and the Reeds
Arms (JD Wetherspoon). (NB: The Pier
was not canvassed as Burnham's Mayor, Louise Parkin, has too close links
to the business and was closely involved in the survey). More helpful

Having
carried out their wheelchair survey in Burnham-On-Sea High Street and
other areas of the town, the Burnham Youth Town Council found the shops
which were considered to have good access and especially helpful staff:
