Channel Fostercare is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Somerset. We work closely with local authorities to provide caring placements for Children and Young People.

Our Foster Carers are valued members of a team providing a professional service to children and young people whose needs are paramount.

Channel Fostercare is managed by people who have a wealth of experience within fostering and business; we are dedicated to building a small agency with high standards.

Channel Fostercare will train you to deliver a service based on 'Every Child Matters'.

We support you in many different ways to become professional carers of children and young people whose needs are paramount; Training & Support.

All sorts of people make excellent Foster carers:-
•Married/single/divorced/co-habiting
•Any race, religion or sexuality
•Unemployed
•18 to 60 years young
•Homeowner or tenant
•Living in a house or flat
•With or without your own children

Join our team of Foster Carers

We will support you with: -

A Management Team that has a wide experience with fostering either as Foster Carers or senior Social Workers
An allowance starting at £350 per week depending on experience and qualifications
Payment of allowance weekly, one week in arrears directly into your bank
A dedicated Social Worker who supervises you to ensure good practice
A 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year telephone contact
A Foster Carer handbook which gives guidance and much more
Policies and procedures that are continually updated to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, regulations and best practice
A ‘matching’ process that involves you in the decision about who is placed with you
A recording system that guides you to completing professional and fair reports

Support at all professional meetings
Team meetings
Carer led Support Groups facilitated and funded by the agency
Activities that include all your family
Training that builds confidence and enhances the service you give to young people in need
