 The
Old Rectory Motel has a four star rating and offers a tranquil
place to stay in close proximity to the beach, Brean Church, Brean
Down, the Golf Course and Burnham-On-Sea.
The
main part of the building originally dates back to 1535 and the
old stables and coach houses have been converted into bed and
breakfast accommodation.
All
of the 18 rooms are on the ground floor and are very spacious
and furnished to a high standard. There are Family, Twin, Double
and Single rooms available depending on your needs. All the rooms
have ensuite facilities. There is a family suite available, which
is self-contained and has its own kitchen as well. Each room also
has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All the rooms are accessible
by wheelchair.
Breakfast
is served in the large conservatory or in the beautiful walled
garden. Step through the stone archway and take a shaded seat
to enjoy a relaxing start to the day. Children can also watch
the fish being fed in the large pond after breakfast.
The
Old Rectory Motel is well designed for children as some of the
accommodation is situated close to the special Children's Play
Area in a secure wooded area. Many of the rooms have stunning
views over the countryside. The beach is only 150 yards walk.
Your
hosts will make you feel very welcome and for those guests who
want to taste a famous West Country Cream Tea, with scones, jam
and cream, afternoon tea is served in the garden or conservatory.
If
you are planning a conference or want to celebrate a special occasion
there are facilities available for hire.
Afternoon
tea is open to non-residents as well, so after that walk on Brean
Down or the beach it is a relaxing place to stop and admire the
views.
There
is a large car park off road for all guests. Dogs are allowed.
