Purrr-fect Pottery, is situated on Burnham-On-Sea's seafront (next to Sunspot Amusements.) It is the idea of Highbridge crafts enthusiast Anya Burridge. Budding artists of all ages can have a go at painting a piece of pottery.

People choose a piece of pottery, paint it and then allow it to be sent away for glazing and firing in an industrial kiln before collecting it. On fine days there are tables outside - so anyone can be inspired by the spectacular sea views.

Pottery prices range from £5-£20 and include plates, mugs and money boxes, as well as children's items such as penguins and teddies in a variety of colours.

Some of the pieces can become collectable items to mark special occasions such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday. You can have your baby's handprint or footprint glazed onto a plate.

Anya will also arrange pottery parties for all ages. Invitations, equipment and pottery are all provided. It's just up to you to provide the guests and let the fun begin! It's a great idea for children's parties, hen, office or Christmas parties.
