75,000
copies of 2006 Sedgemoor Holiday Guide roll off the presses
A
new 2006 Sedgemoor Holiday Guide has just rolled off the printing
presses - and Burnham-On-Sea features heavily inside.
The
60-page guide is a glossy holiday publication promoting Sedgemoor
as a tourist destination.
It
features a range of highlights, from our seven miles of sandy
beaches to the wonder of Cheddar Gorge.
Each
year, Sedgemoor produces 75,000 full-colour copies of the guide,
which is supported by around 150 advertisers.
The
guide is distributed to visitors - old and new - by a variety
of promotional means, including direct mail to selected households
and through the Tourist Information Centres at Burnham-On-Sea,
Bridgwater and Cheddar.
Liz
Cope, Tourism Marketing Officer for Sedgemoor District Council,
said: "The new holiday guide is a great celebration of Sedgemoor
as a tourist destination."
Members
of the Sedgemoor Tourism Association will be attending major holiday
exhibitions at Cardiff, Manchester and the Birmingham NEC as well
as taking to the road for a bus tour of the Home Counties in the
Spring.
An
official launch of the 2006 guide will take place at the Somerset
Holiday Literature and Catering Trade Show at Brean Leisure Park
on Tuesday 7 March.
With
over 2.8m visitors coming to the district each year, tourism adds
£151m to Sedgemoors economy.
