This is charged at £20 per car and covers the year from March to March. It lets you drive onto the foreshore to launch your craft. Visit Sedgemoor District Council's Tourist Information Centre on the seafront or call 01278 787852 and ask for an application form. The application form records your personal details (name, address etc) plus details of your craft and also asks you to declare that you have public liability insurance for the use of the craft for a minimum of £2 million. Once you have delivered your craft to the beach or jetty, you are required to park your vehicle in the special trailer area at the rear of the Somerfields supermarket car park opposite the seafront. jetty and slipway (pictured right) you require a launch permit.
