Hardware
shopping chain to launch store in Burnham-On-Sea
Hardware
shop Robert Dyas is preparing to open a new branch in Burnham-On-Sea
in May.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
learns the company, which has 95 stores across the UK, will open
a branch in Burnham's Somerfield supermarket in Pier Street.
"Construction
of the new Robert Dyas branch is scheduled to start in mid-April
and the new branch should open in May," a spokeswoman for
Somerfield told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
It
plans to offer kitchenware, household items, electrical appliances,
office equipment, gardening products, tools and DIY items.
The
move will enable Somerfield to compete with Asda's coming store
in Highbridge and Tesco's expanded store in Love Lane.
Robert
Dyas has 95 stores across southern England, varying in size from
9,000 sq ft right down to 1,250 sq ft. It aims to have 120 stores
by the end of 2007.
