A COASTGUARD who was rescued by a Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat
crew at the weekend when his boat suffered engine failure has
thanked the crewmembers for coming to his aid. Dave Ilsley, a
long-standing Burnham Coastguard, was one of several people onboard
a 21ft yacht when it ran aground.

young people were led to safety on the mudflats at Brean by Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards this evening (Monday, August 30th) after briefly getting
into difficulty. Coastguards called out Burnham's BARB rescue
hovercrafts, two lifeboats and a helicopter at 7.15pm after a
beach warden reported concern for the trio on the water's edge
several hundred metres.

have expressed shock this week at the number of sick badgers that
