operator raises local fares
fares have this week increased by up to 25 pence in the Burnham-On-Sea
area following the introduction of an annual price hike by transport
operator First. The firm said fares have risen to reflect a jump

A Burnham-On-Sea cafe is again counting the cost of crime
after burglars smashed their way into the building this week.
This side window at the Bay View Cafe on the town's Esplanade
was smashed to gain entry at 3am on Sunday December 23rd.

Vodafone has apologised to its mobile phone users in the Burnham-On-Sea
area after it suffered a technical fault this week. Many users

Council's decision to reject 13 homes planned for Berrow. The

£100 raised for helicopter
Patient Participation Group at Highbridge Medical Centre, supported
by the medical centre staff, has raised over £100 for the
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance service with a Christmas coffee
morning. A number of festive treats were offered for donations.

Coastguards' Christmas lunches were interrupted today when they
were called out to search for a suspected missing person. Coastguards
