Police
probe suspicious fire
BURNHAM-On-Sea
police are investigating a suspicious fire in Mark which destroyed
a 4X4 vehicle on Sunday morning (September 30th). The town's fire
brigade station rushed to Littlemoor Road at 10.51am after a passer-by
reported a vehicle smoldering on the road verge. More...
Six baptised in sea ceremony

members
of a Burnham-On-Sea church waded into the sea near the town's
jetty on Sunday morning (September 30th) to be baptised in a special
ceremony. Many Burnham Community Church members get baptised each
year, but they usually choose a pool.

BARB event pulls in the funds!
BURNHAM-On-Sea's
Spirit Of Lelaina rescue hovercraft was pulled through the streets
of Brean on Sunday afternoon (Sept 30th), helping to raise thousands
of pounds for BARB, the charity behind the life-saving service.
A hardy group of a dozen people took the strain.

Ritz Club to help medical fund
BURNHAM-On-Sea's
Ritz Social Club is to hold a pop quiz and disco later this month
to help raise funds for the Burnham Medical Equipment Fund. The
event will start at 8.30pm on Saturday October 13th and will be
followed by music from popular local DJ Rusko.

than
40 classic cars from across Somerset were in Burnham-On-Sea on
Sunday morning (September 30th) when the town's Motor Club held
its annual Classic Car Tour. The 90-mile event started from the
town's Pier Street Car Park and ended in Bruton.

Harvest meal for Moose group
MEMBERS
of Burnham-On-Sea Lodge 123 and their partners were treated to
a harvest meal by members of the Burnham Moose ladies circle on
Saturday evening (September 29th).
After the meal, entertainment was provided by West Huntspill's
Coastline Singers.
