Eight
jobs lost near Burnham as transport company goes insolvent

A
long-established transport company near Burnham-On-Sea has gone
into insolvency this week with the loss of around eight jobs.
A.G.
Watts Transport Limited - whose warehouse is at Dunball - transports
materials around the country after they are moved from large ships
at the wharf.
A
meeting of the company's creditors is set to be held in Bristol
this Tuesday, October 25th.
One
of the Burnham-based staff who has been laid off told Burnham-On-Sea.com
on Sunday: "It's all come out of the blue. Six drivers, a
fitter and an administration person have been laid off."
The company's demise could lead to less shipping traffic going
past Burnham.
