A bed and breakfast owner in Burnham-On-Sea has hit out at thieves who have stolen ornaments from his garden for the TENTH time in two years.
Colin Jones, pictured, of Ashbourne House B&B in Berrow Road says the latest incident took place over the weekend when a dozen hand-painted ornaments were stolen.
“It’s incredibly annoying,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We spend a lot of time making our garden look as nice as possible for guests and then this keeps happening – it’s not what you expect in a town like Burnham.”
“We had thefts from our garden every few weeks last year and they’ve also taken ornaments and signs several times this year. It’s happened on 10 or 12 separate occasions.”
Ashbourne House won an award for the top guest house garden at Burnham’s Britain In Bloom Awards last month – and the B&B also took a starring role in Channel Four’s TV show ‘Hotel Inspector’.
