of baptisms taking place in the sea at Burnham-On-Sea
Six
members of a Burnham-On-Sea church waded into the waters of Bridgwater
Bay on Sunday morning, September 10th, to be baptized in a ceremony
in the sea.
Scores
of Burnham Community Church members get baptised each year, but
they usually choose a local swimming pool for the traditional
full-immersion ceremony. This year, however, six decided the sea
next to Burnham's jetty would be a good venue where relatives,
passers-by and visitors would be able to watch. More...
