More
than £8,000 was handed over to good causes in the Burnham-On-Sea
area by generous bosses at Brean Leisure Park on Saturday night
(October 28th) following another busy summer season.
Richard
and Bridget House, directors of the Leisure Park, presented cheques
to five local groups after a series of successful pig and donkey
racing events during the summer months plus three outdoor concerts
featuring the Wurzels, pictured below.
£2,500
was presented to the Burnham and Highbridge branch of St John
Ambulance, £1,500 to the St John Nursing Division, £2,500
to Burnham's Sea Cadets, £1,000 to BARB and £500 to
the Monarchs Gymnastics Club.
Brean
Leisure Park's Richard House told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
are thrilled to be able to hand over the money to these organisations."
"We
always try to support local charities and ensure as much of what
we raise goes to good causes in our area."
