A range of initiatives to boost trade along Burnham-On-Sea’s High Street are to be unveiled this month during a meeting of the town’s Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

The proposals include introducing a Burnham-On-Sea carrier bag featuring the names and logos of companies in the town, plus a competition to encourage High Street visitors to look in shop windows to find especially-hidden hidden items.

These plans and others will be discussed at the Tuesday October 17th meeting of the Chamber, which is open to all business owners. The meeting starts at 6pm in the Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street.

Anne-Marie Spalding, Town Centre Manager, will be in attendance to explain the impact of the recently-announced investment into the town by Sedgemoor District Council.

Vice Chairman Alex Turco said: “The momentum of the Chamber of Trade continues to grow with membership levels at record highs. With the announcements to be made at this meeting affecting every business in the town, attendance is essential and we look forward to welcoming as many businesses as possible.”
