BBC
gardener films TV show at garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea
BBC
TV gardening expert Christine Walkden visited Sanders Garden World,
near Burnham-On-Sea
on Sunday during the garden
centre's Tomato Weekend.
The
award-winning horticulturalist, who recently starred in her own
TV series on BBC2 on Friday evenings and has also presented the
BBC's Gardeners' World programme, was joined by the BBC
TV crew filming the next series of Christines Garden.
Peter
Burks, Managing Director at Sanders Garden World, gave Christine
a guided tour of the garden centre and was filmed chatting to
her.
He
said: "We were delighted that such a distinguished TV gardener
was able to join us for our Tomato Weekend, which tied in with
National Tomato Week. She was very complimentary about the garden
centre and our staff."
"Visitors
were able to chat to Christine, who was very personable and knowledgeable,
about her work and get expert advice on how to grow their own
tomatoes, one of her favourite plants. She said she would love
to come and see us again."
