Christmas shoppers warned over car crime risk
Christmas
shoppers in Burnham-On-Sea were urged on Thursday (November 30th)
not to leave gifts on display in parked vehicles.
The
warning from Burnham Police came at the start of a fresh bid to
reduce the number of vehicle break-ins in the town during the
run-up to Christmas.
PCSO
Claire Chambers of Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "With
Christmas upon us again, it's important to remember to secure
all items out of sight."
"Leaving
bags of shopping on show - no matter what they contain - is a
temptation for someone, so remove that temptation and steer clear
of becoming a victim of car crime during this festive period."
