Burnham-On-Sea
PC users given chance to brush up computing skills
Burnham-On-Sea
residents are being invited to brush up their computer skills
during a series of training courses in the town.
Using
up-to-date computer equipment at the town's BAY
centre, Lewis Jones and Mike Turner are giving the public
a chance to learn or improve their computer skills during eight
Saturday morning lessons.
Several
courses will be held, starting with complete beginner courses
between 11am-12pm costing £30 for the whole eight weeks.
These sessions will cover the very basics of computing and also
using the Internet and email.
A
higher-level basics course will be held between 12.15pm and 1.15pm
and will also cost £30 for the eight weeks. These sessions
will cover word processing, using spreadsheets, installing programs,
sorting files on your computer, setting up Internet connections,
and synchronizing devices such as cameras and printers.
A
third course will cover web design and graphics, which will run
from 1.30pm-2.30pm and will cost £40 for eight weeks.
BAY
Centre ICT volunteer Mike Lang told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This
is your chance to pick up new, or hone existing skills, in the
relaxed informal atmosphere of our new multi-purpose training
room. Mike and Lewis hope to go far in the future."
