New
upmarket clothing shop to open in Burnham-On-Sea High Street

A
new upmarket, quality menswear store is to open in Burnham-On-Sea's
High Street in June.
Dennis
Preddy, pictured above, has bought the vacant shop on the corner
of Cross Street previously occupied by the Blazing Saddles Gift
Shop.
He
told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Friday that the new shop - to be called
DP Menswear - will focus solely on quality, classical menswear
in the mid-to-upper price range.
"We'll
have a wide range of quality suits, ties, shirts, socks and knitwear
from the UK's top brands," he said.
The
Burnham man - who lives near the town's BASC Ground and previously
worked at Brean Leisure Park - is spending almost £5,000
on renovating the premises.
He's
also applied for planning permission to make big alterations to
the outside of the shop.
"Shoppers
in Burnham have been waiting for a quality menswear outlet for
a long time. We hope to open in the High Street during June."
