Dogs
put best paws forward as crowds flock to popular Burnham show
Barks,
woofs and growls filled the air on Saturday (April 29th) when
hundreds of Burnham-On-Sea dog owners flocked to a popular pet
show.
Organised
by Burnham's Canine Training Club, the annual Companion Dog Show
attracted over 125 animals of all shapes and sizes to Secret World
Wildlife Rescue Centre in East Huntspill.
Organiser
Penny Fludder, who is chairperson of the club, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We've had a good number of entries and a good quality of
dogs too."
"We're
very pleased with the way the event has gone, and could not have
asked for better weather."
Penny
is pictured alongside one of the event's youngest competitors,
Sam Foster, and their Australian Shepherds.
Competing
at the show this year were a range of pooches, from six month
old puppies, to older veterans.
Burnham-On-Sea
Canine Training Club has been running for more than 20 years and
has in excess of 40 local members. Saturday's event raised funds
for Secret World.
Burnham Canine Training Club meets every Tuesday in Brent Knoll
Parish Hall from 6.15pm. Call Jenny on 01278 760477 for further
