Burnham-On-Sea firefighters tackled a chimney blaze at Bason Bridge on Thursday evening, April 6th.

The crew was called out at 7.30pm after the owners of a house in the village dialled 999 to report their chimney was well alight.

Once on scene, the crew quickly put out the blaze, saying it was relatively minor.

A Somerset Fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Fortunately, this was a straightforward incident and we managed to put out the fire very quickly.”

“The Burnham crew was back on call again at 7.56pm, which shows the minimal amount of time it took to resolve.”
