Burnham fire crews rushed to Unity Farm at Berrow late on Tuesday night (July 18th) after nearby residents dialled 999 after reporting that a caravan had ‘blown up’.

Two fire engines from Burnham attended the scene and found one caravan well alight.

The fire was extinguished using three hose reels and was believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.

“We were requested to attend reports of a static caravan that had blown up at 11.31pm,” confirmed a fire spokesman.
