Warm late summer weather and a great line-up musicians attracted large crowds to Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Sunday afternoon (September 3rd) for the town’s annual Folk In The Park concert.

This year’s six-hour event started at noon and was held on the second day of the town’s FolkFest music festival.

Among the musicians wowing the crowds were Ron Trueman Border, Keith Christmas (pictured right), Issy and David Emeney, Dragonsfly.

There was also entertainment from the Langport Mummers, who were performing ‘Alfie takes the Biscuit’, and Shuffle the Deck, a group of Appalachian dancers from Totnes.

Folk In The Park came on day two of FolkFest 2006. On day one, musicians from across the country converged on the town’s pubs to play a varied mixture of blues, jazz, folk and acoustic music. The event’s organisers said on Sunday they were “delighted” with how they weekend had gone.

Music for all tastes was played during Sunday’s Folk In The Park in Burnham.
